Training on MIKE FLOOD Software
A two-days training on the DHI software MIKE FLOOD will be imparted between 31st jan-1st Feb 2018 in Tunisia. The training falls within the WATER POrT project component's string of capacity building for Integrated water resources management. MIKE FLOOD is a software specialized in flooding hydraulics combining the DHI software’s MIKE 11 (for 1D Hydraulics in the river channel and Rainfall – Runoff calculations) and MIKE 21 (for 2D Hydraulics over the floodplains).
The training has a practical character and is a continuation of the training “Training on flood risk management, flood hazard and flood risk maps” which was held on 19-20th October 2016. This course is aimed for the professionals involved in flood management, flood risk assessment and other flood related studies and will be a decisive impulse to the Flood Forecast Early Warning System for the Medjerda Basin.
