Training on general concepts for water related extreme events analysis in Egypt
The national workshop falls within the WATER POrT project component's string of capacity-building activities which aim at strengthening the abilities of practitioners to deal with the impacts of climate change on the region’s water resources.
The main objective of the event is to improve skills of water practitioners concerning water extreme events and data processing and preparation of the flood hazard and flood risk analysis and assessment by using hydrodynamic models and data analysis. The participants will be introduced to practical approaches for data processing for risk analysis calculations and engaged in discussions related to outline for flood risk assessment tools and main steps on water extreme data processing.The event is targeted for water practitioners working on flood risk management, as well as professionals in hydraulic engineering and management in Egypt.
